Currently playing about with the timeline, I can't see any easy way to choose which list sees your past posts, unless you want to manually go through every single one and change it.

I've had this for a couple of weeks (weirdly). You never get used to it and you always feel like you're missing something. Even more annoying is the little status updates in the top right, above the sidebar showing everyone of your friends

But then still, the Bing toolbar is watching what you're searching for and recording that information. That's a pretty big privacy issue

I second this, you can install straight from an installer and get a Git command line, Git GUI and a plugin for VS. It really is almost a one click process.

What happens when it's cold and the extra heat is lost? Requiring extra heating and therefore more energy.

The title is a little misleading considering the actual title is, "Pupils think they know more than ICT teachers".

Thanks for that, a movie database with an API is a god send for anyone who's had to deal with IMDB's text files.

I think that was mostly down to IE9 using hardware acceleration, which Chrome doesn't have yet.

It's fixed for me now, it may have just been my net connection. The descriptions are awesome!

I wish phone carriers would focus on getting permanent 3G to places less remote and where people live and use phones.

I'm using f.lux right now. I'm pretty sure I first heard of it on HN, not sure why the URL hasn't been posted before though.

They're definitely not obsolete, at least outside of technology companies. Many businesses use a fax machine on a daily basis to send documents and order forms, as it's much easier than scanning things and then emailing them.
