If I saw any charges, I'd still would want to protect my kid, no matter its age or sex. I would keep the kid away from anyone who is not the same age as it, give or take 3 years.

Isn't it possible to "morph" the changes, little by little, so the users don't get overwhelmed by the changes? I think Facebook has done such progressive redesigns in the past.
