To be fair in 2001 php was the underdog of tech stack. It has just got ride of the PHP (Personal Home Page) taste in the language mouth. So wouldn't be surprised if some company running solaris would kick him off.

You can also self host via ollama assuming you got proper GPU. Running it on CPU can take minutes.

What is needed is an index for all the instances that are willing to be published. All server instances would have access to the public index via some gossip protocol. Also are there any other server instances other than the php server? See
