Yeah, we have a habit of not bothering to read LLM-generated prose.

I'm a bit shocked that this comment got flagged and went dead -- it might or might not be correct in its claims, but flagging it seems ridiculous to me.

In principle you need a banking license in order to create money, so not "anybody" can create money. For example, I can't, and neither can you (unless you're a bank, which I suspect you're not_.

Obviously this is contrived. The point isn't to model how best to do hiring. The point is to see if AI models develop biases off of partial information the way humans do.

Difficult to do thread-safely and lock-less-ly. An atomic compare-and-swap operation can be used to build lock-less, thread-safe singly-linked list. Doing that for doubly-linked lists is harder.

I think all of TFA was flimsy. This coupling of which TFA is bad, somehow? I don't even see a good definition of "coupled", nor a good argument of why/how "uncoupling" makes for simple and small.

The issue is that back-links in data structures are inherently difficult to handle a thread-safe way in mutators.

Doubly-linked lists -all data structures that have back pointers- are really difficult to mutate thread-safely.

A lot of these are decidedly not in the middle of nowhere. The corridor from San Antonio to Dallas, passing through Austin, is almost a continuous city, and it's becoming that.

We all must die, if we're to have progeny. If we lived forever, we could not procreate. How we die does matter. No one should be murdered. Many would prefer to die peacefully, in their sleep, unaware. Survivors generally prefer tha

Pros for HTTP for IPC: 1. We already use it plenty, so we have lots of implementations, 2. it's good enough. Cons: a. what shall be the form of HTTP IPC URIs? hostnames for http: and https: scheme URIs are kinda out of place in IPC ap

Two problems. First, it is remarkably difficult to come up with a set of programs that it is safe to let the restricted user use. Second, it is remarkably difficult to make the restricted environment useful enough if you're really se
