Posting here since I am curious if any friends on HN have faced the same AI based banning. I have had a Twitter account since like 2008 and they just did this- like folks on reddit are reporting appeals just get robo-rejected. Is there any

I feel this. And agree- like when I started playing with cloud tools in 2006... AI tooling has quickly become a main part of my daily workflow.

Well that ansible job was quickly ran, buhbye atop. Very concerning coming from Rachel and not some rando. I know a number of fortune 5's that use atop for troubleshooting as well. So as others have commented if you had this baked into

Actually had this happen with a boomer long ago. Not saying that insultingly- just a difference in generational cohorts. I use Google keep for all my notes. The guy stopped mid meeting and asked me why I felt he was so boring that I would j

Looks like the entire guide is here https://workmanship.nasa.gov/lib/insp/2%20books/frameset.htm... Pretty darn cool little site, will have to mirror it.

Delete Nazis killed a number of good deeply technical pages, always citing some obtuse wikilaw. There was a time when contributing was encouraged and assisted. Now if you make a new article one of these pricks will delete all of your work n

Tldr. Never, ever take a tam role at Amazon. My leadership actually told me to avoid that role when I worked at Amazon as I was curious about more customer facing roles.

Ditto, not sure why everyone hates on plex so much. Sure they do some dumb stuff- but overall media handling capability has improved. I am still pissed about camera upload and podcast support. But not enough for all the reddit user rage I s

Use both Plex and Emby. This does not concern me since I think of Plex the same way as I think about a SIP provider. They provide the connection brokering so my devices and my server can handshake. I have Emby as a backup because some media

That is why I selfhost. Digital ocean has an appliance you can spin up and play with in about 10 minutes.

I'm not at all affiliated with this instance but I follow many users there and the admin Jerry is a pretty cool dude. Checkout infosec.exchange But yeah I'm amazed that such a glowing article came out about hachyderm. To be fair,

Yep I defederated her instance because it was full blown woke political stuff. Nice thing though with mastodon, we can do that. My instances are apolitical technology groups. Still though- I love mastodon.

I am so tired of people depending on others hosting their content. If your going to pay a website for something consider self hosting. I hate the modren lack of genetic diversity in the web. I used to spend hours on topic specific sites and

Stopped buying WD years ago when they went to the Skittles marketing and after a number of worthless green drive failures. My raid arrays all use segate drives. The exos line has been pretty solid. Segate has their own problems, not saying

Also their website sucks as explaining it. 1. You setup a server at domain.tld 2. Your account is named Bob 3. Go and browse any mastadon instances you please- easy to find on Google. 4. You follow someone by copying their @username@domain
