Why argue much about a single level of simulation when you could instead try the majesty of an infinite tower of simulations within simulations. Why would it stop at a single level ? What is the nature of consciousness within a simulated un

I find that when I remember, and remember to keep on focusing on a visual metaphor I have for running form and economy the perceived effort doesn't change but suddenly you're going 1 or 2 minutes per mile faster. It's absolut

Agreed about Lost in Music. One of my absolute favourite songs anyway, and then Mark E Smith-ified. It's louche and grand, and rakish and whimsical. I saw the Fall 3 times, the first being at a festival when I wandered into a tent at r

There's a chap who can sometimes be seen driving/riding his C5 around the cycle paths here in Edinburgh. Big thumbs up.

This song was always way better than the other SAW output IMHO. Great song, endearing performance - it's not just audio of <someone> singing it's this video of cheerful Rick singing and bopping around.

Yes it will, because the UK is hosting the United Nations Climate Change Conference in 2021 at which a lot of vital decisions will be made or ratified.

The most efficient way for me, without making a job out of it, is to rely on BBC Radio 6 Music. Across the station's output, varying by show of course, there is a baked in flow of curated new music, and music new to me. Depends entirel
