Please don't beat yourselves up about this, only men use the internet anyway. Men definitely wouldn't be offended by this misogynist word

Is this what Hacker News has become? A place to whore yourself and your business? Please don't encourage these kinds of posts.

This might be one of the worst articles I've ever read. ""I advocate never lying in personal relationships. But if you have Anne Frank in your attic and a Nazi knocks on the door, lie....I lie to any government official." (Blanton's politic

That is one side of it, yes. Congress takes your money to do a lot of horrible things, like the hundreds of thousands of documented civilians that were killed as a direct result of the invasion and occupation of Iraq. But Congress takes yo

Trolls are an important part of anonymous communities. They prevent people from having their heads so far up their asses that the community becomes an echo chamber. Too much moderation will contribute to echo chambers, as well.

I find it hilarious that people naturally assume the U.S. is not an oppressive government. Why don't you ask the black population of your country whether they feel oppressed?

Ironic that you think that a technology patent is the antithesis of oppression.

If you considered him a nutcase, you might want to reassess the methods which you use to determine if someone is a nutcase. I'm not really surprised by this. The FBI is a horrible organization, just like most wings of the US government.

Note that the first graph is "Six Years After College Entry". So that's 1-2 years after graduation. BARELY any time (if any) for interest to accumulate (as it doesn't while you're still a student). I'd like to see a graph of 5 or 10 years

Why not make every employee a board member, with one vote each, and equal ownership of the company? Decisions would be made based on what is in the best interest of the employees of that company. A real democratic way to run a business.

This is bullshit: it is passing the buck. This is strictly blaming women for their problems, without acknowledging the structural sexism that exists in virtually all tech fields.

Sad how there's no discussion of the economy that enables stuff like this to happen. "Why were people so cruel and evil?" is a stupid question; it's not about cruelty or being "evil". It's about money. Don't expect people to be moral in
