You can't "mistype the account number", as it has control digits. I mean, there's a possibility, but it's really slim.

I would like to know where you get that 1) It clearly does not work (as opposed to "it has a low accuracy" which just means they will have to filter manually) and 2) They are pursuing a goal of policing with fewer police officers

!g is a bang or whatever they call it. If you put "potato !g" in DDG, it redirects you to google search

DDG is super super bad. I don't know why people recommend it at all. Now that you mentioned !g I remembered all my DDG experiments... 1) change my default search engine to DDG, 2) use it for some time, 3) use !g in half of my searches,

So change the law or whatever, but as it is, they own the copyright, whether you like it or not. Saying otherwise is at the same level of discourse as using the word "Micro$oft" and similar puerile rubbish.

Good post, but believe me, you can write a post without ending every paragraph with an exclamation mark. It's possible, but only if you try!

Hmm, should've specified better. It reminds me of those webpages professors have in the website of the university, for which they write the HTML themselves, and they always use Times New Roman with some horrible colour scheme, heh

Those colour combinations are simply awful. It's like they were designed by a university professor.

You're just confirming what the parent says: only people with enlightened, progressive ideas can say whatever they want.

What does that have to do with hating homosexuals? I know of many people who don't like feminists but don't have a problem with homosexuals.

Must depend on eras, yes, because personally I avoid using the phone at all costs. I'd rather take my eyes out with a spindle gouge than talk to someone over the damn phone

Reddit does not allow mods or admins to modify comments from the website UI, but that didn't stop the admin from modifying comments by editing the database directly.

You'd be surprised to see how many comments are removed from HN by the mods each day. What you see here is not what HN users actually are.

Google has a near monopoly on smartphones--In my country Android has like 95% market share. You can only abuse your dominant position if you have a dominant position, and Apple does not have one.
