Excellent. The job feature has been a godsend. We had a hacky version for one-off jobs but k8-job feature removed some of those complexities. cron-jobs will be one step closer to an ideal solution.

I love this library and like others, was a god send. one thing I want to try is use the lib with the python mock lib to mock services that can return randomized data of some kind.

RDS now supports Postgres. It supports both hot & cold swaps. Hopefully in future it will support read replicas.

AWS has a full blown calculator for every service they provide, not just EC2. They give you pricing by monthly, upfront cost [for reserved instances] etc. http://calculator.s3.amazonaws.com/calc5.html

ex-cgi contractor here and I am not surprised. they did the Massachusetts health care system that cost over millions of dollars and didn't deliver on the first day. The government had to shell out even more to keep it running bcoz Gov.
