   Perhaps part of the point is that having children (or choosing the noble path of actually supporting them) is also a choice. If you really, really want something bad enough, sacrifices can be made.

   It would be interesting to see the difference in, say, the 20th percentile between countries (those who care, in other words). Most people are not interested in math, and frankly have little use for it.
