I agree. Though there is a counterpoint that a Russian host isn't going to respect a DMCA request. On the flipside it's a Russian replacement for Github that is based on Gogs, Gitea, or even Forgejo possibly. So yeah, YMMV.

You do know In-q-tel has invested in things that people use in the day to day, including Google Earth (originally created by Keyhole). DARPA kick-started the semi-autonomous vehicle industry with two of their Grand Challenges in the 2000s.

No, as I and others have commented, this wasn't changed by the current Postmaster DeJoy (not ignoring all the other wonderful stuff he's changed). They've been using the dot com domain for decades at least?

I'm honestly not a fan of what Louis DeJoy has done to USPS, but I'm pretty sure they've used the dot com domain for as long as I can remember, way before DeJoy became Postmaster General....

Here in the Washington DC area, our metro still has two series of rolling stock that date back to 1982 and 1987 (2k and 3k series). At the earliest they won't start retiring them in 2024 and 2025 at the earliest...

Yeah, on further reflection, I recall my parents having a 286 with a hard drive. Still don't get why they couldn't find a 5.25" floppy. Then again both types of floppy drives are still quite obsolete....

This certainly looks promising, though the only thing I can see its missing that Postman does is allowing the use of domain specific certificate authentication and the use of a user provided certificate chain.

Honestly the biggest issue with any crypto, at least in the United States, is for taxation purposes, it's treated like buying or selling a stock vs an actual currency. We need some actual crypto regulation defined that protects people

Exactly. On top of that and the high transaction fees, it's more complicated to do a Patreon like service with Crypto than just work with the imperfect financial systems we have now....
