I feel the opposite as a software engineer. The only appointments I have are stand-ups. I can work whenever and wherever I like. I never want to go back to the stress of University now.

It's funny you mention this, because I like to use vscode over ssh. I believe the editor updates the screen before the change is ever made on the server, so it feels nice and responsive like you're coding on your home machine.

What contract? Most of these contracts have terms for canceling early. Like a fee to cover the remaining cost of the phone. After that point, it's their phone and I don't see a problem with someone using their property on another

Definitely, I saw this from working on hybrids when I was a mechanic. The transmissions were simpler, the engine rarely needed any work since they ran less than a gas only car. They barely needed any brake work since the electric motor does

I like the Arduino for this reason. It was a lot more interesting than printing hello world to a screen. I would find little things I could do with the Arduino for random little things that I couldn't easily do with a pre-existing app

Oh yeah, I used to have a used BMW with an N54 engine with the same issue. I ended up buying a media blaster, crushed walnut shells and cleaned up the ports preemptively.

I wouldn't think it's novel enough. Toyota and Subaru have been using it for years. I had no idea Ford was doing this as well. It's a good idea. The port injection prevents carbon buildup on the valves and ports.

X86-64/AMD64 was solely developed by AMD and licensed to Intel. I'm stating this because I can't tell what you mean by: "wasted effort went into Itanium. But we ended up with x86-64"

I personally loved little Italy. The espresso was amazing and so were the little restaurants, but I couldn't live there. It's too expensive and the place was a little rough but I still liked my visit.

At my university I only have write permissions in my home folder so I prefer this too and I only need to backup my home directory as well.

Doesn't seem strange to me. I can drive a car with a vr headset. The computational part I would agree with though.
