Many here will rush to trot out the usual "but, we should all be using { fashionable language of the day | Rust } instead of C". Maybe. Maybe not. But there is something of a sweet spot with C and after all these years it persists

Honest answer - we don't. In markets, even with global corps using our platform English is the business Lingua Franca. The clients usually expect their users to work in English. Works for us.

Working with these libraries and the ecosystem has been great. We tried Julia for a while but found it sorely lacking whereas python has such a great community and history and wealth of experience and wisdom to share.

Edit: can't reply at this time so had to edit in place - it would be good to get some discussion if others disagree with my experience, downvoting silently and avoiding conversation is a shame. In time we will actually see that Goog
