The parent post mentions "billboard" but it is a digital road sign (at least the ones I've seen). It's on a pole higher up so people can see it easily, similar to how many billboards are done.

I agree, but I have no idea how to get that information out of github, aside from perhaps iterating over every project there. I think it would be cool if they made some aggregate data like that available though. =)

The pricing jump is probably only "ridiculous" to you. Schools (and government in general) make it so hard to sell to themselves that prices in the tens of thousands are normal to them, even for tiny districts. I don't think the pricing is
