What do you mean by 'minimal'? If you're talking about wine and flash, there are 32 bit builds available to be installed in 64 bit.. But that's the way it has always been.

My thoughts on why I would want to mod something very popular is because I would almost immediately have a following if my product is good. Also, I'd be able to create a mod that has functionality that I desire, and I'd get the satisfaction

I believe it's more about chat being more personal, where comment conversation is meant be more professional by convention. In chat, we're not bound by the rating system, and there's not really an official topic.

Google allows you to export your data through their "Google Takeout" service. This includes your contacts and circles, unlike facebook, who is now pushing harder than ever to keep your contacts in Facebook.

And I'm glad they did. Judging from Apple's business model, it would have been yet another closed off, keep your data social network. I've been dying for an open network like Google+, and I think things played out quite well.
