Does anyone know how they make their map so performant? Showing all those pins is mind blowing to me coming from leaflet maps. Marinetraffic is also a map that blows me away every time i see all the icons and how smooth and fast the loading

This is not true. I have no idea about the US but Canada, specifically BC, still has large amounts of old growth forest that is being cut. Really sad to see and read about.

It seems like you have never been to a well connected and dense city, that has good public transport and bicycle infrastructure. Bikes and public transport can be at least twice as fast if not faster. Everything can be built closer together
