My first java IDE was Visual Cafe by Symantec 1999 - and if I remember correctly I started using IDEA around 2002 (and still do - incl. Rider, etc).

Soulseek was pretty sweet - people would chat me up when downloading an album they shared and ask if I wanted anything else they hadn't ripped yet - or recommend something similar. It was more like napster though and not torrent based

Same anecdata here (EU) - Kids use Teams for distance learning, pretty much every larger company uses teams (and to some extend zoom) due to the Covid situation. Hardly anyone even knows slack exists. Everyone knows and uses teams.
