I fully agree, but unfortunately us hacker-kind are no longer the norm nor the majority here. It's all startups and tons of people with business degrees. Technical papers get downvotes while people's blog posts about how to hire/fire people

I'm a skeptic, so I'm inclined to agree. At the same time I'd like to say that we should give it a bit and see where they go with it. Google hasn't been one to remove value that I'm aware of.
