I did Paris - London by Eurostar. The security and border control part is as annoying as flying. Actually it’s even worse since they check all your luggage. If you fly at least they only check handluggage. Ride was great however.

Happened to me too with my 2011 macbook air and my 2010 macbok pro 15' when using the 2 prong adapter at home in Europe. Currently typing this on a 13'' late 2014 13'' MBP with 2 prongs in Japan. No problems.

The real problem here is that http is unencrypted by default. It really should be encrypted so that passive listeners can't see the traffic. I know that this is no protection against man in the middle attacks, but at least WiFi sniffe
