Perhaps small office spaces in areas with many employees could be a solution. For example, you have the opportunity to go to a local workspace for your company on a weekday, but have no obligation to do so.

I'm personally not a fan of casting aside a tool as something never to be used (especially as a matter of principle). I personally do not use debuggers, but I can see why they might be used, especially to step through someone else'
