I would assume that they're using deep packet inspection as weel, but not to fully ban, but simply to slower down users internet when they're using VPN. Have you tried to measure traffic from your china server while browsing with

Tor is cool, but I'm tired of using their browser and all the captchas. Also would like to protect anything is going out of my phone (all the apps I use).
