https://www.weightwatchers.com works really well. I thought it was just a brand of frozen food, but it's not. You get a set number of "points" each day, which more or less equate to calories. It makes counting c

Trying magnesium after reading about it on HN comments last year changed my life. Definitely try it. I just use magnesium citrate from Walgreens.

The best coffee substitute I've found is coffee-flavored Postum. It's the one in the red jar. Available from their website or Wal-Mart. I also tried Cafix, but prefer Postum.

I first read about magnesium supplements in a random Hacker News comment a year ago. Taking them cured my insomnia. If anyone thinks they might benefit from Mg, I definitely encourage you to do the research.

I take magnesium supplements to help with sleep. First read about it on Hacker News 6-12 months ago. Changed my life. My insomnia is not cured, but definitely much better and zero side effects. I tried many different sleeping pills, but

I wish the NY Times would get back to journalism and not try to boost their webviews with fluff pieces like this.

How different is the electronic version on princeton.edu from the printed book? I've seen statements about the printed book being more up to date, but I haven't seen specifics.

This was a pretty weak article. Usually The Atlantic packs a powerful punch. This seemed like clickbait.

Apple Music is so underwhelming. I see nothing which differentiates it from so many other music products. It was a little sad to see the word "Revolutionary" projected above the stage. snore

Interesting that they launched first on Android. I wonder if that's because lab managers are expected to use their own phones, and they'll likely have Androids. Or, maybe labs purchase phones for this purpose, and Androids are ch

Ewan went 99% of the way in making the app. If the only thing holding him back is getting the screenshots right, I'd say he's "so close". I'd wager that most of Microsoft's app approval team is away the week between Christmas and New Years

The feedback from the reviewers seems pretty straight-forward and easy to fix. I may have misunderstood something, but I don't see the approval process as being all that burdensome. Judging by the frequency of your blog posts, it looks li
