+1 for Dr Chuck! Echo your sentiments exactly. Had I taken this course when I was 18, I surely would have gone for a CS degree.

People have been saying this for years. However, none of the other players have built a compelling product with widespread appeal or adoption. The E-Tron? iPace? Taycan? All have been more or less dead on arrival from an adoption and sales

I recently bought a camera lens from Amazon. It was listed as new, but when I received it, the lens caps for both the front and back were missing, the packaging was dirty, and so was the lens. It was obviously not new. When I started speaki

On top of that, Oracle still makes hardware. I don't think they can be blamed for stagnating interest in that area.

After taxes 115k is more like 5-6k a month, depending on how much you’re putting into retirement accounts, healthcare, etc.

I just got a 2018 BMW 2 series and it's the best system I've personally used outside of a Tesla. It has a mobile connection so it can find POIs very quickly. It's surprised me many times when I've asked it to navigate so

Sun had the hardware that Larry wanted for his engineered systems. Prior to that there was an announced partnership with HP for that. The Google lawsuit came later. Remember the purchase was in 2009, when Android was still in its early days

Came here to post this. Now I know where they got their inspiration! Though, ironically enough, I always got the vibe that that city from the first game was more like Singapore.

The Volt has something called "maintenance mode", which starts the engine about every 4-6 weeks, and does a process a little more involved every few months or so to burn gas that would go bad.

Not sure where exactly they're "so far ahead". Cameras? Google is on par if not better with the Pixel. Screens? Samsung. The only area where I could conceivably say Apple is destroying the competition is the A11 chip. As an o

As a Solutions Engineer, we always want to conduct a "discovery" session so we can tailor a demo to your context. Otherwise we don't know what is interesting to you and we are effectively throwing darts blindly hoping to hit

Well to Epic, their games are usually a showcase of their engine. It makes sense to open source their assets. It also helps that Fortnite is a massive success.

While they have a few similarities, I'm not sure I'd put Zendesk as Front's main rival. They're doing similar things, but approaching them in totally different ways. Front is fully backing the shared inbox, while Zendesk

My work laptop is a 2017 15" MBP. I was able to get a 4k external monitor and it definitely felt sluggish. That's when I realized the $70 multiport dongle that apple sells cannot do 4k at 60hz, and so I was seeing 4k 30hz. Had to

I ended up looking it up after I posted, and you're right! Plans also include going all the way to the Santa Clara Caltrain station, surprisingly. Maybe by 2030.

Yes, as someone who commutes to SF from the South Bay, it's depressing how our public transport compares to other major cities. BART needs to just go around the Bay Area entirely in a loop, or Caltrain needs to become more efficient. H

I'm 26, and I just bought a 2 bed 1 bath 850 sqft condo in Santa Clara for 570k. My payments are insane, basically 4k a month. I'm able to get by because my wife works too so we aren't entirely living hand to mouth. Since I b

I had no warranty and they gave me a replacement 6P for free despite being OUT of warranty. I heard others were given Pixel XLs. I guess mileage really can vary.

I haven't gone quite so far as to ditch my smartphone yet, but I now leave it on silent, no vibrations or LED notifications or anything. Whenever I check my phone maybe once an hour at work I see anything that requires my attention, o
