Any tips on how to define the rate limits for a web app with moderate traffic? For logged and anonymous users?

Same here, what I loved about the web was the immediacy. You edited 2-3 files and you were done! Today I had to work with Angular, this thing is insane. So many files, so many layers, so slow... This thing makes me hate what I do. I wish we

Yes trip advisor has become irrelevant, in the beginning you could rely on the ratings. Now almost everyone has 4+ stars. I find Google ratings slighly better.

Meh, I was trying to find an actual usage of this robot. I guess even Segway has no idea what to do with it.

Yes, holy shit does it look unsafe ! There's a good reason began on closed courses, imagine a kernel panic locking the car on a busy freeway...

I have no problems with it either. It is highly customizable and you can do pretty much what you want to do with so many email clients. I'm guessing these are just people that don't know about filters and how to unsubscribe from u

Same here, Yosemite is the new Windows Vista ! I'm finally stable enough with 10.10.4 after many kernel panics, not gonna rush it to upgrade. I'll wait for 10.11.1. El capitan seems promising though.

I agree, so much useless stuff here. Long gone are the days when Apple produced powerful and exciting new Macs. Now they are catching up and behind... I think my next computer will be a PC again.

I see Dash more like an experiment, it may not be the final product or disapear completely to become something else. Even if I find this idea wasteful, I think amazon does the right move with just experimenting.

Pretty sad that they contributed hundred of hours of their time that they could lose any second if Google decided to ditch Waze. Openstreetmaps allows you to download all the data for free.

iPhoto is so slow, I hope they fixed that ! Even on my SSD i7 mbp with 16GB of RAM I'm surprised. My photo collection isn't that huge as most of the stuff is stored outside but it really lacks the snapiness it should have.

Those priceonomics guys really care for their SEO. They are one of the few websites that writes totally unrelated articles to sell a product. I kind of feel used when I see them pop up.

True, it can be a real pain if your environment slightly differs from the developper. I just give up most of the time if I have to compile myself.

I have a Displayport<-->DVI adapter and that thing never works as intended. Sometimes it won't detect the screen, so I have to unplug and plug it back again. If the screen is off the Macbook thinks there's still a second scr

I switched back to Firefox recently from Chrome. I find Firefox faster too. Chrome is losing focus on what was making it great : ultralight and fast. I'd ditch Chrome if Firefox had full html5 video support on OS X.

That's why the tips felt so irrelevant. Last time I checked booking two tickets made no difference, kayak and all are all well known and I hope that everyone checks at least if there's not a cheaper alternative with these. Usually

If you have some kind of hosting, it's your duty to either code your own Google Keep or find some open source project. No reason to depend on Google for this kind of stuff. They'll probably ditch it at some point anyway.

That's my experience too, it's mostly basic CRUD interfaces. People say it's fast but that's because it gives you the most barebones user-hostile interface you could have. The company paid IBM $100k to upgrade a single s

Broken for me too on the second dot, I can't scroll more and have to click on a dot. I really dislike this new "Powerpoint slide" presentation trend.

Shit I just spent an hour researching this ! Something was fishy in your inequation here is my result : 3x > 3x+(1000-x-300) So this means that at x > 700 it is profitable to send empty enveloppes.

From what I can see, it looks like Spotlight is becoming smarter and closer to alfred than ever. It dosen't look like the dumb file finder they seem to present it to be.

I couldn't live without this tool today, very useful to quickly find where that method is used for example.
