vd is so useful for browsing sqlite, csv, parquet, etc data. I just wish I used it often enough to remember how to use all the advanced features like selecting column and row subsets

Sounds pretty similar to the linked story, except they got a trained staff of firefighters and EMTs show up on scene and a ride in an ambulance. He also didn't pay anything at time of service. Yes, he had to pay $2000 copay/deduct

Really don't understand why anyone puts a side project on a pay-per-use provider when 99% of the projects would be perfectly fine on a $5/mo max vps. Although I also use a prepaid cell phone provider, so maybe I just hate the idea

Web focused dev isn't the only area with interesting problems but that's definitely what gets the most attention is frankly probably the most lucrative path for most people. I work in finance as well, and am kind of too specialize
