Without looking too deep, I bet their dext wasn’t exposing necessary configuration. I’ve seen this with other third party network hardware and dext, where it was missing certain configuration for bridging to work

agreed. I previously spent like the last 15+ years checking hacker news every morning at the start of the day but within last year I've found the content to be less interesting and hacker news has lost its stickiness.

The tool can still be used to run on a light weight Linux VM running on a Mac Mini or other Apple hardware. At the bare metal layer the host is an Apple branded computer running macOS.
