Beats me but somehow we do! Every day I drop 1k lines of Python code and replace with go. Will be fully go soon!

The difference in complexity between my go and my Python docker image is actually hilarious. 100s of files and package managers and npm and whatever else.. vs 1 file.

Ditto. Nothing I want to play doesn’t work on Linux / bazzite.

History has shown me people value convenience and cheapness and maybe safety. Privacy is far down the list for 99% of the world

The memory bandwidth and size seems to be there, but what is the tokens per sec on like a qwen model? And you can basically do 3x opus 4.5 on the $100 a month claude plan. Your payback will be near infinity years after electricity.

At the price points they are hitting, can’t afford over 32 GB on the cheaper model. 256 memory gets you to like 11k. So like 15-20k.

The storage is pretty silly. Bring that down and the max isn’t nearly as bad, more like 12k

But is it? If it’s cheap enough latency doesn’t matter. Unlike say cloud gaming, where latency does matter. I’ll take my games local and my text bots cloud

Wouldn’t you need to bump opus reasoning a few levels to be apples to apples?

I think it’s gut biome problems. So you just trade one problem for another, while tasting bad? Pass.

Statistically a fire is more likely to burn your 1 copy than the data center I bet. Ideally you have both, that survives almost anything outside thermonuclear war

Non techies don’t get that though. They will use opus to translate audio or whatever

In the goal of the math problems to get the answers or think for years on a complicated topic? It’s the same Q developers have. Are they paid to type code or create programs? As a not math person, seems strictly good that AI can solve more

Sure they can, you can buy a CCS adapter. You are limited a bit by 400V, but honestly I have never been able to not find a Tesla charger - and I’ve done 100k miles around the US over the last 5 years

Depends on distance and size, there is a lovely chart. My projector at 10 feet away is night and day difference at 4k. Mathematically 8k should look identical, so I haven’t spent the money to try it to confirm. The 1080p thing is true in th

Which is great and why I started coding too. But for my day job I can’t have an employee deliver 1/4 of the code of someone using AI and ask for a full paycheck.

lol I asked fable to help me estimate my TAM and it launched 102 agents and blew my $120 quota in 6 minutes. I do realize I can limit the agent count , hah

Who’s paying to bring online a factory that sites idle just in case? Are you also paying workers to sit there idle?
