I'm in Jacksonville, FL right now, but I'm very interested in moving to San Francisco. The internship will absolutely haved to be payed, and payed fairly at that. My skills aren't the greatest, but I'm not willing to work for $10/hr.

I checked out the website, but I didn't see a jobs page. I'd be interested in chatting too, so feel free to drop me an email (my email can be found in my profile) or leave yours here.

Nest looks really cool and I like the idea of having a physical (as opposed to virtual) product. Are you interested in hiring any junior engineers? Feel free to drop me a line (my email is in my profile) or leave your email here, I'd love t

I've been considering getting a bike for some time now. It should be in the budget soon, so I'll bookmark your app and use it some time. Thanks!

Just a note: I plan on replying to every comment here. I'm on the tail end of my lunch break right now and don't have the time, but I'll do it first thing when I get home.

Bitly has always interested me because it looks like it would be such a simple project, but there are obviously interesting scaling problems to be solved at Bitly.

Google is too large for me .. at least for now. :) I'm looking for a place where I can work on an entire (or at least a large portion) product.

SevOne's careers page says that a Bachelor's degree is a requirement. How strict is SevOne (or any other company, for that matter) on this requirement? Do you know of any software engineers that don't have a degree?

It's a minimalist blog written in Python called Logr. I posted it on HN, but there was almost no response. The code is hosted on GitHub at http://github.com/brewerhimself/Logr .

I hadn't considered that some posts may fall into multiple categories, but I'll give it some thought. In the mean time, just choose whichever category works better.

I tend to schedule more time than I think I'll need to complete a task, rather than less. Any time left over goes to tasks that I didn't complete earlier in the day and, if none exist, I browse.

Thanks for taking the time to type that beast. I can see how most people never achieve steps 1 and 2. I find it difficult to come up with an idea that other people think is really cool or, if I do, it's a ridiculously difficult idea that I

Shoot me an email at james@brewerhimself.com sometime; I'd be interested to hear what you think about Udacity. I'm taking the Introduction to Statistics class right now myself.
