I think moving away from first come first served would also help, and the London 2012 ticketing process did give this a reasonable shot (although it could be argued with limited success, IMO because they didn't allocate enough seats in this

It's highly unlikely Apple tries to offset any guilt it may have over tax avoidance by hiring a few extra people. Ignoring a few inefficiencies, companies try to minimise (in cost and number) their workforce in order to maximise profits. I
