Nit: TALA could be another layout engine for graphviz but its not a format itself (I suggested this in comments above). Graphviz also doesn’t imply specific layout unless you mean “dot” that is default. So conversion is somewhat undefined.

The funny thing is that these days they would make it a lot worse with LLMs, perhaps post lots of wins on LinkedIn too. It’s not impossible to steer that ship but it’s never gonna be one shotted in “do refactor, make no mistake” way

Yes, you either follow Itanium ABI (non Win) or MSVC ABI. Technically nothing stops _your_ compiler from implementing totally own conventions but it will only be compatible with itself

The legalese around it is that it’s always contingent on your employment on those futures dates. It’s based on past performance, yes, but it’s not payment for past work (that’s what bonus is for), its incentive to stay longer and contribute
