I completely agree. They have all the users but their core product is shambolic. For example, Facebook messenger should be the best way to communicate with someone, yet it's surpassed by even one of their own subdivisions (Whatsapp).

I think this is better implemented industrially. It's easier to make a robot that can deliver food (made in a factory), than it is to make a robot that can cook a variety of meals from raw ingredients. Both are super difficult problems

Computers these days have multiple megabytes of storage capacity and can easily fit a dictionary into their hard disk drives. So you don't need to worry about loss of network connectivity.

Apple doesn't allow third party JIT. They allow third party rendering engines. Blink+JSC would be acceptable but I doubt anybody wants to put the work in to make that a reality.
