It's a work of historical fiction that fictionalized history in order to tell a fictional story about a fictional character. Not a documentary. Like Netflix says, the case has no merit. they're not saying her feelings have no meri

> complex apps like gmaps and Google docs were written entirely in JS I always assumed complex Google apps from that era were built with GWT, which would mean Java.

That's what that was!? I aways wondered why some people would end their emails to me with "J". At first I thought it was a typo, then I thought it was just some encoding issue. Never knew I was missing out on smiles.

This is the moment that our robot overlords will point back to in order to justify their cruel reign.

I think it's stupid too, but every job posting lists required years of experience.

Ok, thanks. I was thinking more from the point of view that programming is a skill and skills develop with hours of practice.

Ask HN: If one works over 40hrs/week, can they claim more years of experience?

I'm surprised average hours per week or per year wasn't on the list. This also just confirms how grossly underpaid I am.

Maybe this is important, not because it an accurate representation of dyslexia, but because it can simulate the effect of it. I could read everything pretty quickly and accurately except for some of the longest words, but I got this feelin

`font-weight: 100` and `color: #757575` for body text? It's barely readable on a retina display. It's an eyesore on my PC.

That's because underlining is inferior typography. It's from back in the typewriter days when the only way to add emphasis was to back up and put underscores underneath the text. Either bold or italic is more preferable.

Does this mean that because the previous statement, "Apple has never received an order under Section 215 of the USA Patriot Act," is missing, that they have received at least one order?

Thanks, I was wondering why this page wouldn't compile.

Thanks for pointing that out. Also, the second link, being a perfectly clear and readable side-by-side diff is exactly the reason why 79 chars is important.

I always stick to 79 chars and stick to the latter method for indentation. I am completely happy with the readability of my code as a result. Thus, I'm not really happy with the new 99 char rule.

The only PDF reader I have installed is Chrome, and I'm pretty happy with it.

As somebody who sits at computer all day, who is too cheap to buy equipment, too embarrassed to be seen exercising by others, and who hates the idea of devoting an hour a day to physical agony, this appeals to me.

I believe the new compose window is inspired by Sparrow, which used to have the same rage-inducing flaw, but they eventually fixed it.

I believe with most psychological or mental conditions, the phrase "a person with ..." is used, putting the person before the condition. Just like you don't call a person with mental retardation a "retard."
