Fun fact, my Wii running Linux was my first server. I had a webserver running, and an IRC bouncer (ZNC). Anything outside the standard "it's available on every architecture" type stuff require manual compilation, however, whi

They've made it into an actual skit now? I remember when it was just a regular old meme.

I could understand Discord taking issue with the UI, but the logo? White on blue isn't exactly original and/or trademark/copyright worthy.

Since the last major jailbreak for Kindle devices was released, I've been using Koreader as well on my Scribe. I have progress syncing setup with Hardcover (Goodreads alternative) instead, however. Only downside is their recommendation

I was genuinely hoping that this would extend back to at least the 10 series. I'm still daily driving my S10+ that I got when it first came out with no major issues other than the eventual lack of updates. Battery life is still great,

Yeah, I've read the same book multiple times before, years apart, without realizing it. Only when I went back to Goodreads later to mark it as read did I realize that... well, I had already read it. On the flip side, I can enjoy a book

I'm all for historically low housing prices, but as for the rest... I'm not sure we should invoke any sort of Black Mirror-esque scenario on the world. Reality is already dark, grim, and eerie enough as is.

Volume control is a must. I had my headphones on, at normal volume, and... let's just say I didn't realize just how loud it would be. Other than that, however, this seems neat. I've been trying to listen to new music lately,

If we, as a species, only learned from our own personal experiences, we'd still be dwelling in caves.

I mean, they quote Ian Carnelli in the article, saying that he expects a "much bigger deflection than (he) had planned". That said, the article also mentions that it will take Earth-bound telescopes/radars at least a week to

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the term "factoid" was believed to be coined by Normal Mailer in a book he wrote about Marilyn Monroe. Per said book, factoids are "facts which have no existence before appearing i

The important question is this -- why does he believe those things? This is the same man that at one point tried to say that he was the founder of Tesla. Saying things that I agree with doesn't mean that I should inherently be in favor

We've had local business owners come in before that have tried to haggle with us. Even had one specifically point out repeatedly that he ran a business so he knew how it worked. Wouldn't take no for an answer. It frustrates me to

GoodTwitter2[0] is the only reason that I still use the web version anymore. I can handle the mobile interface on a mobile device, but making the desktop experience mobile-themed was the straw that almost broke the camel's back. GoodTw

From a worker's prospective, it sucks, but it's also rather bad from the employer's perspective as well (at least in my experience). Having to ask sick people to come in is not something I or my coworker want to do, but we&#x

The site brought my S10+ to a screeching halt. I had to force-kill Harmonic, the HN client I use on my phone, just to get out of it. Site preloading via an in-app webview is nice until you happen upon a site like this.
