So OS/2 exposes VM86 to the user ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_8086_mode ) (as does Windows) but also emulates POST booting behaviour from diskettes?

Yeah and PK is the signature per record - it's not a file header. Did these guys read the format specification at all?

I had a Voodoo 3 3000, friend had a TNT2. If the game supported Glide and/or had a minigl driver available it blew the TNT out of the water. Direct3D-games however the reverse was true.

This is insane! As a hobby hardware designer myself, I can imagine how much work must have gone into reaching this stage. Well done!
