Or, it could just switch the default shell to Z shell. First thing I do on a new Mac, is chsh -> zsh. Ships with an up to date (enough) version of that.

NZ's UFB network has always been FTTH (meaning it terminates inside your house), there is no copper in this picture. This is why, for example, last month people who qualified for 200MB can now get gigabit plans.

I beg to differ. I had an encrypted USB HDD hooked up to Thunderbolt display, and lost all data on it because it does indeed power down its USB hub :)

I have a Thunderbolt display from Apple, it also powers off the USB devices when it goes to sleep.

You forget how much Apple likes to nickel & dime people on storage and memory, it's where a lot of margin comes from. Expect to pay a few times market rate for 1TB SSD.

Well, you can still pick up an AR-15 online in NZ if you have a valid firearms license, difference is the police are going to know you have one, and will do a background check as well as have an interview with you.

After having had my original XBox fail once and XBox 360 needing to be replaced three times, and eventually still dying, with Microsoft refusing to replace the third, I switched to PS3, and now PS4. I will never buy Microsoft hardware again
