My comment is a bit more nuanced than your thinking. The barrier to entry to HN is anyone with an internet connection and motivation to create an account with absolutely no verification. That’s quite the low bar and just invites bad behavio

As HN becomes more popular this will become more prevalent. The same thing happened to Reddit over the past 14 years.

I don’t like how cars are becoming living rooms on wheels. But I know a lot of people spend lots of time commuting. Thankfully I spend very little time in my car.

What issues are you encountering? I’d really like a way to have my PC in one room and use it on any TV. I know Steam Link exists but it’s a bit clunky.

Safari doesn't exist on Windows, and iCloud for Windows sync is terrible. Firefox doesn't support Wide-Gamut. Chrome is too enshrined with Google. Edge has some neat features, but Microsoft keeps pushing Copilot and Bing. Arc had

Lots of cynical takes here. Its cool. Time will tell if this method makes sense. One concern I have is in Texas the extreme weather and clay soil causes foundations to move. Lots of houses have foundation problems. Foundation shifts will li

It’s unreasonable to request six months’ worth of emails simply because they contain the term “anti-retaliation.” What’s the goal here? Are you hoping to find a smoking gun? And if you do find it, what’s next? To me, this feels like an abus

Looking forward to more affordable options (sub $3k) for home use with a reasonably easy editing workflow. Canon's offering is clunky, and other options are "prosumer" with shoddy tech support.
