Not surprised at all. I know a lot of people that upload sensitive docs to format conversion free sites (like jpg to pdf converter, joining pdfs etc).

The study doesn't compare equity held by men and women in same position, but total equity. There is a huge imbalance in equity held by founders/execs most of which are men.

I've liked bogleheads forum. The usual advice would be to maxmimize 401(k), ROTH IRA and invest in index funds.

That's not true. It's a dual intent visa - otherwise one would not be allowed to file for green card while being on H1 visa

Probably the easier startup lottery these days could be join a startup that is rumored to be an IPO. I'm not sure if software engineers get to make millions, but even 500K to 1M vested over 4 years is pretty good.

I'm not sure how much bonuses software engineers get. I've heard it's great for bankers, traders etc. But do software engineers(who work on building infra/tools, not the kind who write trading algos) get paid good bonuse

Yahoo! turned down an offer of 60M from AOL in early days of internet boom. Facebook turned down Yahoo!'s 1B offer. Google turned down Yahoo!'s 3B offer.

75K for top 1%? Anecdotally an average(not top 1%) fresh grad in companies like Microsoft,Google,FB or (insert any other big co) etc these days get about 80-120K(depending on your negotiation skills,competing offers,school where you went
