This is pretty cool. I made a really basic example, but in doing it, I could imagine playing around with having the colors or orientation change with the data as well. And it might make for cool transitions too. That obviously get way too c

Yeah, I generally agree about pie and donut charts. I thought about unrolling this one, so that the inner most circle would just be one long bar, and each successive step would just be an adjacent bar. I'm not sure that makes it better

We love what Segment is working on. It's a big step towards different companies sharing a common schema, which means that analysis built on that schema can be portable across companies, and doesn't have to be redone by everyone. T

Yeah, I think I'm going to make the same thing for college basketball. Fewer player per team could make the map pretty sparse, though.

Doing the same thing for basketball should be pretty easy (but like you said, it may not be quite as interesting because there are a lot fewer players). I'm going to try to put that together this weekend and see how it looks.
