I had a high end spec gaming laptop with 0 airflow back in the 2000s, and used to raid dorm LAN party freezers for frozen meat + towel = heatsink. I was lucky that iteration 1 (sans towel) didn't ruin the laptop...

Check your home folder permissions on macos, last time I checked mine were world readable (until I changed them). I was very surprised by it, and only noticed when adding an new user account for my wife.

Same for me originally (years past) CLI git, then magit and more recently lazygit. Identical workflows across all 3 tools, with only progressively fewer keystrokes.

As a magit lover, LazyGit is a fine replacement that works even better in some cases, but falls just short overall. Still very usable both inside and outside neovim.

The contractors were probably dubious of that resiliency given their lack of experience. I recently ran fibre in my house and have to say I was pleasantly surprised that fiber patch cables (unarmored) can survive a good pull through a duct.

Sure, but we program using programming languages, mostly using the Latin alphabet you are referring to. And yes the syntax for many of those programming languages is in fact case sensitive.

Docker does add iptables rules by default, which bypass other rules such as those you might set with ufw. https://github.com/chaifeng/ufw-docker has a good overview and ufw-specific solution (I use it on my rpi).
