I encountered bugs created by AI. No matter how many times it tried it could not fix the bug, it was introducing so much slop to work around the issue. I finally gave up and read documentation for 15 minutes and solved the problem. I will n

Writing code at enterprise level is insanely difficult. You are constrained by budget, staff, legacy databases/environments, business rules hiding all over the place, and people. You can't just rewrite everything. So over many yea

I have a blazor app in poduction, Codex made errors which it could not fix and it required me reading documentation. I won't argue that it didn't make my life simpler, tasks which would take me days are done in hours, sometimes wi

Do you have children? While parents have some control, they don't have as much control as you think. It is a constant, "but my friends can do this", and you have to deal with it all the time. Parents now have to work 2 jobs,

I've found it very helpful with flushing out bugs, reviewing my code. I have a hard time trusting it to generate 100+ lines of code because in the end I am responsible for it.

I disagree. The prices still move with the price of oil. Their margins are just lower.

This is a very poor take. My family has been affected by the disease. If I get it I would join research as it could potentially help my kid and other family members. This is how science works. There are studies all over the US which involve

We can also test for PSEN1, which is 100% accurate in determining early onset alzheimer's disease, quite a it more expensive, so unreasonable as a screening tool unfortunately.

It would be better than most physicians now. It can quickly crunch many pages of medical history and medical research, this something a physician cannot do. They have intuition but sometimes are not equipped to deal with complex problems.

The problem is that the first source is incorrect because she doesn't deal with lisfranc injuries frequently enough and her knowledge is not good enough. I've had to go do my own research to find a guy who specializes in lisfranc.

I actually think having a single source of truth would not be terrible. Let me explain. All podiatrists are not the same. All physicians in their specialties are often specializing in their own niche and are up-to-date on that niche. I

They did it about a month ago for the desktop Codex app. It is actually really confusing and there are many discussions on reddit. First, the app was called Codex, then they combined them and now the app is called chatGPT, but recently insi

It used to be that reading books made you an intellectual. In the age of TikTok and shorts being able to watch a movie for 2 hours makes you an intellectual.

It has it risks too. I've used chatGPT for a feature I am working on. It works, I have already resolved some bugs the it didn't pick up. However, the code quality is odd, I've had some hardcoded types as it is unlikely they w

Yep. I don't understand how departments even allow wearing the punisher logo. It is unprofessional imo. Also, a good indicator of a total toddler of a cop.

They see a good looking attractive woman and spy on them. Their low IQ vanishes completely and all the blood rushes to their pants. They are like a toddler in a toy store and want the shiniest thing.

Just unacceptable all around. I've studied criminal justice before CS, and after getting to know cops I decided it isn't for me. The culture is awful. It is like high school, a lot of drama, sleeping around, many divorces, abuse o
