My history with email clients being acquired is not encouraging. The history is they are effectively abandoned and/or shut down on the order of weeks and months not years. See Dropbox/Mailbox.

Atlanta resident. Commutes are longer by a factor of 2 if not more. A co-workers commute from Roswell to Cumberland that did take 25 minutes is over an hour since the bridge fell. And, that commute doesn't go anywhere near the bridge.
