   They use their phones when they are with each other, isolating themselves even when they are together. Banning is exactly the argument against this. They are saying we should do that to protect the mental health of teenagers.

   Again you miss the point entirely. This is not Apple vs Android. This is teenagers not being given a choice whether or not to use social media generally. The fact is if everyone else uses it, this precludes them from many normal interaction

   https://kagi.com/orion/ Orion uses WebKit and has uBlock origin so I'm not so sure it's a limitation of WebKit itself.
