Android devices are much more open than iOS devices. There are quite a few alternative OSs with much more privacy than Google and Apple Unlike Apple, Android devices are not vendor locked into just one OS.

We need more people using Linux on desktop and pouring money into the Linux phone to justify these. Voting with your wallet matters and works. It is why apple and Google still do so much marketing and hype about their phones and devices.

Pretty soon housing your own infra and not using the mandated govt phone could be made a crime. But think of the children and security of the society. Couple that with constant monitoring of your car and you can be monitored anywhere

The amount global electronics waste the disablement of 2G and 3G is going to be astonishing. 15 years of perfectly working devices, rendered useless. And no 5G is not a replacement. I can manage perfectly fine doing remote work with hangout

Sideloading isn't in the best interests of apple. Anything apple says is an attempt to keep it's shady business of a gold mine I am still running windows phone and that is thanks to side loading and replaceable batteries. Tim Cook

Drop in the bucket for Amazon. I wish people and article would stop gawking at absolute fine numbers, donation numbers etc and actually put that into a percent relative to Amazon's income, Bezos' networks, etc.
