There's much more to differentiate Rust and Go than support for generics and error handling verbosity. In my mind (and experience) they don't even occupy the same problem space.

It does depend on where in the US you are or how your company handles remote compensation. Bay area, techtropolii, and other high tech areas might pay that but there are large parts of the US where a majority of SWEs make less than $100k. F
