   Mozilla doesn't have a CTO any more. The SVP of Firefox should have been the decision maker in this case.

   After 20 seconds the browser perform this "idle-cleanup" for you and there is no need to press this button all the time if you want to minimize memory usage.

   Well that's definitely not only for benchmarks. Whenever you have animations that use JS you will benefit from this approach.

   I don't think so. This bug has been around since the introduction of our current chunk allocation model. So many many years.
