Very much agree with the simplicity and power of separation of training, validation and test sets. Is this really a 'big data' era notion though? This was fairly standard in 90s era language and speech work.

Yes, it can surely be obfuscated, but ultimately there will be a client-side function with near-identical functionality prevalent all over the web. It's harder, but seems possible to build an extension to identify this function.

I'd suggest taking another look at how 1Password (or any other secrets management tool) deals with secret data. "the ability to obtain them easily" is not the case.
