Not necessarily. When I was watching the match, whole parts of the image were hidden by reflection. If you can control the illumination around you, then maybe you have a point. But I think that the frequently that is not the case.

I'm not sure Apple is ahead on backup & restore with the iPhone / iPad. You shouldn't need a desktop (with an OS that runs iTunes) in the first place. I read that the first thing you need to do with iPad is to connect it to iTunes.

My uni had a copy, complete with the "barfbag". This classic book is worth a look. Funny and well-written, including the anti-preface by Dennis Ritchie. I'm a UNIX lover, btw :-)

I'm so glad! He groks security and UNIX extremely well, I find his software a joy to use. I know he has several detractors, but that doesn't prevent his ideas to spread, albeit slowly. We all stand to gain.

IMO, this argument is a red-herring: you can write bad code in any language. Perl lit is awesome and erudite: the best idioms are described in the Cookbook. Programming Perl is a joy to read, Best Practices could be used as a standards guid

Never stopped liking it, but at some point I got tired of waiting for v6 and moved on to Ruby (mostly because of Rails) and some FP. v6 would fix everything that I find irksome on v5.
