I agree, this looks really cool! These are the kinds of articles I really like seeing on here, but I feel like people may be discouraged to post these types of things because the top comments are always "Well this sucks because I use X

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like because iOS is such a hot platform right now everyone is trying to hop on the bandwagon without learning anything new. Write iOS apps in ObjC. It's not hard, it's not that different, it's just something y

This doesn't make any sense at all. iMessage is now tied to my iPhone, my iPad, an iPod Touch, two iMacs, and a Macbook Air. If my iPhone's battery dies, how will Apple know that I'm not in front of another device capable of getting message

I wish there were more posts on HN like this. This is super cool, interesting, and a neat simple solution to a problem, even if it didn't work in the end!

We kind of have a different problem. Clients all want it in the apps we make, but analytics show that very few users use those features. Which sucks because it takes forever to implement all that stuff -_-

If they didn't have push access and servers, how would they let you know when you had new mail? Third party iOS apps can't poll for new mail, so remote notifications are the only way!

I'm so tired of all the IB hate. IB is a tool, and it should be used when appropriate. Sure you can't do everything in it, but for 80% of even "complex" views, things can be done significantly faster in IB. Doing all UI creation and lay

I actually don't really like where Google has been going with their iOS apps. They don't look bad, but they don't look / feel like iOS apps. Microsoft and Google both like to try and bring the look and feel of their mobile OS's to their iOS
