I think the main argument was "intentionally commit economic suicide to slow the development of dangerous AI." (That being said, Chinese labs are releasing weights, so I'm not sure how the economics actually work.)

I get the doorbell too, super weird. Headcanon: Cortisol spike right before you wake up. Brain goes, "something must have alarmed me", and cooks up phenomena: loud noise, feeling of falling/tripping, etc.
