I wholeheartedly agree with you. I'm suggesting that it might be time to have the counter conversation that just because it has numerical statistical analysis does not make it ML. I've been around the field for a couple of decades

Oracle should pay Google for using Java in Android and keeping the language somewhere around edge of hip and cool. I wonder how long it will be before Google flips to Go or JavaScript for Android.
